Nancy Winslow Parker

Nancy Winslow Parker

Nancy Winslow Parker is a world-famous children's book author and illustrator. She created our adorable letterhead illustration depicting puppies and kittens posing (or not) for the artist.

From the time she was in kindergarten, Nancy knew she would be an artist. After twenty years in public relations, Nancy bid farewell to working for others and entered the world of children's literature.

She has immersed herself in a wide variety of topics ranging from bugs and crocodiles to the American presidents. Some of her favorite works include Bugs (with Joan Richards Wright), The United Nations from A to Z and Land Ho!.

Nancy recently adopted a nine month-old tortoise kitten named Beenie. Beenie has turned out to be the most affectionate, perfect people cat.”

We thank Nancy for her generosity and unfailing support of the Humane Society of New York.
