SNOOPY

SNOOPY, a little Beagle, came to the Society with 3rd degree burns over 80% of his body as a result of being put in scalding water. At only 15 months of age, this sweet dog was in such agony he could not even sit or lie down. After our vets examined him, we had to transfer SNOOPY to a critical care facility where he was there for almost three months.
The Humane Society of New York is responsible for all of his bills, which so far includes numerous skin graft surgeries, blood transfusions, fluids and medication, twice daily bandage changes, physical therapy, and the list goes on. When he returned to us, we would have continued his rehabilitation with medical care and treatment, including laser therapy, acupuncture and nutritional supplements. Once he was fully recovered, we would have found him a home where nothing would ever have hurt him again.
